Groups

All our 40 u3a groups are listed below. Some groups have 30 members but some are limited to 8 members in order to give everyone a turn. A couple of groups have waiting lists but most groups are open to new members.

Do groups meet all year round?

Many groups take a summer break in July &/or August and may stop in late December.

Starting a new Group

If you did not find a group you were expecting; why not start another one? There are Third Age Trust Subject Advisers to help with new groups. Email Groups Coordinator or our Learn Something New for help too. Phone numbers are on Committee page.

Carers

Each member attending any group is responsible for themselves, but non-member Carers may attend free of charge.

Accessibility and Disabled parking

We aim to make all groups inclusive. Do speak with the Group Leader or Groups Coordinator if you have some special needs. Please find her Phone number at Committee.
Disabled parking The Great Glen Methodist Church (1 disabled space) and ramp access to building, Burton Overy Village Hall (2 disabled spaces). Menphys Hub (1 disabled space). Roger Bettles Sports Centre (6 disabled spaces). Wigston Liberal Club has disabled spaces and ramp to access the building. Wigston United Reformed Church here are 3 spaces in nearby Peace Park, there are some limitations for wheelchair access, Glen Gorse Golf Club has two designated spaces.

TAT offers online Learning events, free to all u3a members, including podcasts, workshops and courses. There are paid for Summer Schools too.

All members may also take part, free of charge, in various projects, initiatives and competitions.
