We email the newsletter to advertise the next speaker meetings at Wigston. We post newsletters to those registered blind and a few who live out of area. Our newsletters can be found at most libraries. See our recent newsletters at Newsletters. We use Beacon our membership and finance system to email your monthly newsletter.
Third Age Trust (TAT) Email Newsletter
All members may subscribe to the monthly friends newsletter e-mailled to 50,000 members for details of talks, groups and summer schools which any member may join.
Third Age Matters
You receive the Third Age Trust Magazine magazine five times a year. If you do not want the magazine your subscription is reduced by £3.

Starting new groups or one offs
If you have an idea for a new group speak to/or email Elizabeth our Groups Co-ordinator. If you have an idea for a one off or short course contact Sue Russell, Learn Something New (LSN). Grants for equipment may be made to establish new groups.

Renewing your membership
Members renew their membership in February to March. Expect a renewal notice towards the end of February and a reminder at the end of March/early April. Details on how to renew are shown at Renewals.
Annual General Meeting & Committee meetings
Our AGM 2026 will be held on 24th June 2026 at 1.45pm Proxy votes must be submitted by Wednesday 17th June. AGM Papers.

Advice for members
A free advice service is offered to members through Independent Age for advice on money benefits, health, mobility, and care and support. Freephone is 0800 319 6789 or email query to Advice.
Sharing car travel expenses

Members travelling to their activity and sharing cars may wish to use the Great Glen Oadby & Wigston sharing car expenses scheme.
We welcome prospective Trustees to attend a Committee meeting, email: Chairman, or phone for an invitation.
Meeting are normally held on the 1st Tuesday at 2.15pm in the Ruth Warner Room of the Methodist Church, Great Glen.
If you want to put your name forwards please use the Trustee Nomination Form. New Trustees need to complete a declaration form so their details can be shown on the Charity Commission for England & Wales' website.

Members who deliver exceptional service to the u3a are awarded Life membership or an Outstanding achievement award. Award holders are listed at Awards.
