The next meeting is on Wednesday 1st July when we will be looking at The Suez Crisis of 1956, when Britain, France and Israel invaded Egypt to try to regain control of the Suez Canal after it was nationalised by President Nasser, It did not end well!
There is no meeting of the group in August or September.

The group is open to anyone with an interest in the military aspects of history and no prior knowledge or expertise is necessary. The programme covers a varied selection of topics, including battles, campaigns and the ways that warfare changes over time. We offer occasional visits to local battlefields and museums.
Recent topics have included: The Korean (Forgotten) War, General George S Patton, The Mosquito fighter-bomber, The Boer War, The Tirpitz - we do like to mix it up a bit! If you are interested, why not come along and see what you think!
