Minibridge was originally conceived as a way of introducing people to the game of Bridge. It then developed as a game in it’s own right, with it’s own rules and scoring system. The game simplifies the Bidding system compared with Bridge and the Scoring system is easier to understand but both are still based on Bridge. As with Bridge and Whist we play with a partner. However individual players are welcome as we can always find a partner to play with you. Although competitive, the games are played in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. People come to Minibridge to enjoy the company and a game of cards.

We play Duplicate Minibridge, which allows each pair to play the same hands against each pair of opponents.

For absolute beginners who have little experience of playing cards, we will give you support as you learn to play Minibridge. If you have played Whist or Bridge you will find it easy to adapt to playing Minibridge.

Please ensure you arrive on time so that we can commence play at 10.00 am. Before this we like your help to set up the tables, prepare the refreshment trays for the break and shuffle the cards. Please do not come on a Tuesday without prior notice as I like to arrange partners for everyone.
