We usually meet in January, February, March, May, June, July, September, October, November.
We usually take a break in April, August, December. Contact the group leader to verify a meeting.
No art ability or knowledge is required to enjoy art and learn with us!
Our subject matter is driven by the interests of the group members - and thus is wide ranging. We have looked at paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass blowing, bronze casting, lino-prints, architecture and more, over wide spectrums of time. It's all about learning to look - you'll be surprised at how much you can learn to see!
Members who are not confident with presenting slides on a subject may contribute in other ways: research the life and times of an artist and the group leader can provide the Power Point slides if necessary. Contribute to the discussion; suggest a subject, check local media for exhibitions and inform the group.
It is understood that new members may wish to attend several sessions before offering to contribute. Small contributions are as welcome as more elaborate offerings. Members may ask for an earlier contribution to be repeated - it is likely the group member who first presented will agree.
