Baz Luhrmann's EPiC:Elvis Presley in Concert

(From the film) Elvis Presley: I'd like to talk to you a little bit, ladies and gentlemen, about how I got in this business. There's been a lot written and a lot said but never from my side of the story.

(My words follow..I’m not really an Elvis fan but he was a phenomenon )

This is a documentary film but does not follow standard documentary format.  It is based around Elvis’s first short Las Vegas ‘residency’  (1969-70)  and constantly moves between rehearsals, personal background and concert performances with several overlays of Elvis talking about himself.  It is ‘slim’ Elvis at his performance peak and the director has captured the total excitement around Elvis’s return to live performance.
